Camp 2023!

Thank you all very much for your responses.

As usual, I have to disappoint some people, but I hope most of you will be delighted to learn that we have booked next year's Camp for 30th June-6th July, and that we'll be going to Woodlands House, in Yorkshire, where we were supposed to spend our holiday in 2020. The owner has agreed to put the deposit we paid back then towards the cost. (Which means some of you have already paid something in advance—we will work it out.)

If there are twelve of us, it will cost £300 each. If there are 16 (which I think is the max we can achieve while allowing everyone their own bed unless they *want* to share) it's down to £225 per person. Plus food costs, of course, and possibly a fuel contribution for the drivers.

It will be so delightful to see you again! I hope you have plenty of time to work out leave, flights etc. And don't forget your travel insurance, since we have no idea what the world will look like next year.

If anyone wants to make a bit more of your holiday, Beast and I would be very happy to have visitors before and/or after Camp, so you can come and see a bit of Norwich and Norfolk as well.

PS. I may not see responses for a while, due to the (temporary, I hope) demise of my regular computer.

I'm looking over flights now to get an idea if I can go. Will we be coordinating how to get people flying into London to get to Yorkshire? I usually train myself to wherever, but for a 4+ hour trip, I'm thinking hooking up with others would be nice.

It looks like I can go if I get a late flight the Thursday, June, 29th despite classes ending that day. But then I don't get to London until 11 am or thereabouts. Not sure how that will work with everyone else.

So excited, though, at the thought of being able to go!

Hooray! I shall alert work and pet-minders immediately (and not in that order...)! Very much looking forward to seeing anyone who can make it. <3

Those dates should work for me and I've put them in my calendar. But I'll have to wait until I have the dates for my work conference before final confirmation.

A late reply but I'll be there, even if it's just for a fleeting visit. I mean, you're practically on my doorstep.
