just a little over a week now! i should already be in bed! but i have questions!

I have a few questions and since I think they might be of common interest:

1. Are there going to be towels at the cottage again or do we have to bring our own this time?

2. Should we bring our own cups for tea/coffee/whatever again?

3. I know Josh already offered bringing stuff from the US (♥!) but is there anything I should bring? Kinder Surprise anyone?

4. OMG ARE Y'ALL ALREADY AS EXCITED AS I AM?!

Um, that's already it. Thanks for your attention and any help. *makes herself go to bed*

I think I remember the website saying to bring our own towels. :) And I don't know about you, but I'm totally bringing my John <3 Rodney mug. ;)

I want to add one more question: Is there going to be wireless internet there? I'm debating whether or not to bring my laptop along.

*ponders whether to bring AJ!Mug or JC!Mug along*

I want to add one more question: Is there going to be wireless internet there?

As far as I know, the answer is 'we don't know yet'. The cottage owners were planning to have wireless broadband put in, but whether this has actually happened, I don't know. I'm really sorry not to be able to be definite about this.

Ah, right. Thanks for the answer!

Is there going to be wireless internet there?

We now have a definite answer -- there is no broadband at the cottage.

However, I had a brainwave this evening, and checked the Lyndhurst library, which does indeed have wifi access. I'm going to call them tomorrow to find out what their rules are for using it, but given my past epxeriences with internet access at public libraries, I'm quite hopeful that it should be possible.

I'm afraid you'll need to bring your own towels.

Coffee mugs - I think this is a good idea, so yes, do bring.

We'll do the Trolley* Of Sugary Goodness again, so bring... whatever you think would fit nicely on it!

YES!! Though the 28th is looking increasingly complicated!

* Depending on facilities, it may not be an actual trolley this time.

I have Reese's Pieces and a couple of cups, definitely bringing those!

I really need to bring toweling?? I know that sounds petty, but three towels eats up almost an entire suitcase. Also, no chance I'm bringing a coffee mug as it will never survive. Was that cautionary? Can I bribe somebody coming by rail to bring an extra?

As for the coffee mug, I'm sure there will be cups and/or mugs provided at the cottage. We instituted a Bring Your Own mug policy last time so that everybody would be able to identify her own mug, and keep it washed up. I didn't want there to be piles of festering mugs all over the place! So you can just use one from the cottage's supply.

I can bring an extra bath sheet for you, if you want more, can you negotiate with a few other Brits?

Oh heck. I'll happily wash mugs. lol. All of them even!

As to the towels... the problem is with my hair every shower is a full two towel experience. Do you think there'd be a place nearby to cheaply buy some inexpensively? I'm happy to donate them to others when I'm done. And I really appreciate your offer to bring an extra. I know I sound like a winer asking about it to begin with. I'm sorry about that. I went back and looked at the site again and it does say no towels. Me being me, I read linens provided and didn't register the towel separate as here they'd be included in linens. Always read ALL the information.

I very much doubt Lyndhurst is the place for cheap towels, but I will see what I can sort out from my airing cupboard. It'd probably be a good idea to have a few spare towels in case anyone forgets.

Ritter Sport with coconut filling! You used to be able to buy it in Sweden but no longer and it makes me soooo sad because I love it so very much.

*makes note to bring Swedish chocolate and Ahlgrens bilar*
