Getting to Camp

It's early days, I know... but I thought I'd put this out there: if anyone wants to visit the Fine City of Norwich before or after Camp, I'd love to show it off to you! Also, you would get to meet Sable and Princess Fluffykins, and if that isn't an incentive I don't know what is.

You can get to Norwich fairly easily via Stansted+train; you can fly in to Norwich airport from Schipol (which I probably cannot spell, but Amsterdam anyway); you might even catch a ferry to Harwich. Or of course arrive at one of the London airports in the usual way - there are coaches but they take an entire day so sanity might be better preserved by getting train tickets well in advance.

Anyway. Let me know if you'd like to come! If there is serious takeup we can look into renting a minibus or a larger car.

Can confirm that Norwich is a Very Fine City Indeed, and Sable and Princess Fluffykins are exemplary cats (or small clouds of supreme darkness, in Sable's case). :D

Hee. The Cat Lady, who comes to visit when we are away, has a photo of Sable on her site, captioned as doing her Devil impersonation from the top of the bookshelf. Sable is staring down with an expression of narrow-eyed hostility, of course.

I was hoping I could come visit you again. We had so much fun last time and we didn't even have Sable and Fluffy to entertain us then :-) And really want to see how your kitchen looks now that it's all finished!

My kitchen is the awesomest! Do come for a visit. You will be able to pet Fluffy, though I don't guarantee Sable. And I'd love to show the place off properly!

How booked is Chez Pen during the week before Camp? Saba and I have started planning our travels and could most likely come for a day or two beforehand!

Splendid! Don't forget the possibility of getting a flight from Amsterdam to Norwich - I'm not saying it'll necessarily be cheaper than going via a big airport, but it would probably save a *lot* of time!

I've been researching my travel options and it looks like the best one is still my standard Copenhagen to Gatwick. Would it be alright for me to arrive on Tuesday evening? (Going home I'm thinking of flying from Manchester because there seem to be quite a good train connection between Settle and Manchester Airport.)

Tuesday evening will be fine. I'll have to consider carting you—and whoever else ends up visiting—along to rehearsal on the Thursday!

I think there is a coach from Gatwick to Norwich, but it goes via Heathrow and Stansted and basically takes ALL DAY, so I recommend the train (from either King's Cross or Liverpool Street).

Excellent! I have now booked my flights and if the one to Gatwick isn't too scarily late I should arrive at the train station in Norwich sometime around eleven - half past eleven Tuesday evening. *keeps fingers crossed*

Getting to listen to one of your rehearsals sounds like it would be fun!

By the way, I meant to ask - would you like some more cat yogurt for Lancecat? If you don't have a local supplier I can send some!

Oh yes, please! So far I haven't been able to find ANY soft treats for cats. It's all just different dry treats and Lancecat despises those :-)
