Hi All!
Getting excited, are we? Good!
I'd a bit of advance preparation on what we're going to be doing at Camp Sparkle. Obviously, watching footage and squeeing will take up much of our time, but there's Ninjetti's game, and I'd quite like to schedule some slightly more formalised discussion time. There may be other things we could usefully programme into the weekend.
So, suggestions, please.
Is there some particular activity you'd like to do?
Any ideas on items we could discuss? Could be anything from 'how to run a different kind of challenge' to 'what are the particular characteristics of each available pairing' to 'religion in popslash' to... well, what would you like to talk about?
Is there a particular bit of Important Footage that we absolutely must watch? I'm leaning towards giant space bulls myself, and I know there is aplot afoot to boggle the newcomers with plan to introduce people to the necessary trauma experience of watching 'Harry and Max' together. Do we ameliorate this with a showing of 'Little Red Riding Hood'?
Let's have your thoughts.

I think we need another book to pass around for story telling, because last years story is a masterpiece!

*ahem*
Sorry.
ANYWAY, I'm totally up for all of the above, everything mentioned in comments...ummm, I'd be up for discussions on American vs. European perceptions and the such, I really thought that bit of discussion around the kitchen table last year was fascinating. And if I'm not the only American this time, we'll be able to get more input, heh.
As for videos, I myself have never seen more than a snippet of Driven or Snowed In, so I'd love for those to be played at some point. Ummmm, I'm pretty sure I want to actually eat in an English Pub this time, since I was in England for almost two weeks last year and never managed it (heh), but I'm scared of missing out on fantastic stuff happening back at Camp Sparkle! Hmmmm. Oh well, being torn between two simultaneous fantastic situations is a good problem to have, at least.
And as far as *other* activities go, besides my wacky Sparkly Cluedo, I'm totally bringing
alla lot of my other gaming stuff, too, so I'm up for running RPGs anytime anybody wants to play. Given the number of action-adventure sparkly AUs I've created settings and characters for, not to mention Supernatural, I think some fun could be had there, too. That's my two cents, keep the change!

Donna can't make it this year; I dunno about Lincoln.
But really, EVERYTHING was fun last time, and I don't expect this one to be any different! *g*

Date: 2008-01-17 12:43 pm (UTC)Maybe a poll on the nsync-related movies? Because there might even be people who haven't seen On the line! Little Red Riding Hood sounds definitely interesting.
Does anyone want to discuss Lance's book and other recent canon stuff, or has it already been discussed to death on LJ?
I'll be back with original ides later.
Ooh, a quick thought, maybe stupid: There's a game where you cut words from magazines/newspapers to create a love letter or something like that. Maybe we could try to "write" fic like that, maybe in groups? It will most likely result in crack and get people talking, which is always of the good.
