There's so much to do in Bath itself that right now I'm only polling on things we need to book in advance. First, some details and prices.
1. Longleat has a discount for booking online in advance. There are also two types of tickets, house & grounds only, or house & grounds plus safari. (There is an extra group booking discount for groups of 12+, but we can't combine different ticket types within a group.)
Online house & grounds only = £17.05
Online house & grounds + safari = £29.70
2. Stonehenge is now doing only timed ticket entry, which they recommend booking in advance. Entry to Stonehenge is £17.50, and to Avebury Museum is £4.40. Avebury stone circle itself and the other nearby monuments are free.
3. There are two options for the Thermae spa, which is entry to the main New Royal Spa, or hiring the Cross Bath.
Cross Bath hire is a £200 flat fee for 1.5 hours use (including changing time) for up to ten people. It doesn't include entry to the main spa, and you can't book any additional treatments.
The New Royal Spa only allows booking in advance Mon-Thurs for groups of 8+, or if you've booked a treatment, and otherwise you have to queue. The price is £36 pp for a 2 hour spa session, which includes access to all the facilities. You can book additional treatments (the time for those is added on to the total session time), and there are also some packages that include entry + treatment.
Of course, if people are REALLY enthusiastic about natural hot water, there's nothing to stop us hiring the Cross Bath for a group trip and some people also separately going to the spa.
4. This year is R's and my Silver Wedding anniversary in July, so to celebrate it a bit early, we'd like to treat everyone to afternoon tea at The Royal Crescent Hotel on Monday.
