Part three: the minibus safari

I should, by my count, have *six* sparkly campers (self included) setting out from my house on Friday morning, ie msktrnanny, ninjetti75, chalcopyrite, rikes and adelate— is that right?

Those of you who're coming in to Stansted on Friday, from wherever, please can you comment with your flight times, so I can try to co-ordinate our arrival with the last of you, and randomling and turloughishere can do likewise.

I vote for getting everybody's phone numbers and agreeing on meeting places in advance, to avoid last year's airport hell! :D

As far as I remember Stansted is pretty straightforward, though? Not that I'm opposed to giving out my phone number (which is the same as last year).

Yeah, the arrivals arena is pretty clear if you're waiting right there as somebody lands, but if you get bored and wander away it might not be that easy to spot people!

And there's a coffee place that borders on the Arrivals exit, so whoever gets there early can sit up on one of the high stools and wait in great comfort and ease.

I like this idea! Since I don't know if I'll have any computer access after tonight I might not know where you decide to meet up so I'll probably have to call someone of you to find out. Do you have the same number as last year, I do.

Yep, my number is the same.

I guess/suggest we'll be meeting right next to arrivals, though. IIRC, there are some benches and it's easy to keep an eye on the people coming in.

It's a good thing I'm actually landing on Stansted when I arrive in London 'cause I haven't been there since it was new. (Yes, I'm old enough to remember the OLD Stansted :-)

What's the earliest someone will be at the cottage? James and Corey are going to a scout camp Friday night so James needs to drive me down and get home, so I'll be arriving relatively early. I may need to wait elsewhere if no one will be there.

We aren't supposed to arrive until 3pm - uh, by which I mean, we can't get in until then. Don't know what A's plans are, exactly. There are some quite pleasant-looking pubs very handily in the village (one is right next-door) so you could sit and have a quaff if you're very early.

Alas, I have been unable to locate my tiara. I think I may have given it to my Adorable Niece. So I shall be wearing my dark blue interplanetary T-shirt, it is adorned with many stars and planets (and even a comet), trust me, there's nothing like it! You get in at around 4pm, Terminal 1?

Noon-ish is good - in fact, we in the minibus may be the last to arrive, as we shall have to load it after I collect it at 10am. But fear not, we'll be there!
