Footage, folks!

Well, instead of a Sparkly Party we are, OBVIOUSLY, going to have a Wedding Day, with Wedding Reception. We have the Carter nuptials and Lance Loves Michael to squee over, to be followed by a proper wedding-style feast with appropriate cake and the inevitable disco afterwards. So make sure you are ready to dress for the occasion* **. (Not sure if it will be on Saturday or Sunday, but presumably the weekend will be when we have the most people there.)

Now, I think it would be awesome to have someone take charge of being the Cheesy Wedding DJ. As (some of) you are already aware, we have the awesome video wall of awesomeness and can therefore have a video wedding disco. nopseud has the nominated vids from last year, but we must be able to find more stuff that is fun to dance to. Does anyone fancy taking on the job of compiling them and putting them into an order that will get everybody up and dancing and exhausted at our Wedding Reception? (Note that this probably gives you the opportunity to influence the chosen music, if that is an incentive.)

Other footage. We are, naturally, expecting that the Backstreet documantAry will be available, with extras, to provide another evening's worth of joy, weeping, angry shouting etc, but that still leaves some time to be occupied.

It would be really nice—I think—to have a telly-watching Plan in place in good time, and we have three and a half months to get ourselves prepared, so.

Firstly, what would people like to watch besides the above mentioned? Particular concerts? Films which feature SDBs in any guise? (I yearn to watch 'The Bloody Indulgent', which looks like UTTER CRACK, but will it be possible?) Would an evening spent comparing 'On The Line' with 'Friends With Benefits' be an evening well spent, or not? Is anyone prepared to endure enjoy 'Harry and Max' one more time? 'Edison'? House of Carters? Dancing with the Stars (a dance-off?)? Nominations in comments, please!

I think we could also put together brief collections of stuff which we've enjoyed and would like to share with Camp. I have, indeed, been collecting Lance footage under the "Because He's My Favourite" label for a while. I can fill about 45 minutes with five, just five, choice pieces. Can anyone else do the same for Your Favourite? (ETA: I have also found some fun Joey stuff.) Ideally, using more recent-ish footage we haven't been watching for ever? (How about Justin's VMAs footage?) We could have a "Because He's My Favourite" evening. I don't expect everyone to have as much material available as I have, because Lance has been very visible of late, and good luck finding 45 minutes of recent Chris footage, but I'd love to see it! Or you could compile a bunch of stuff on a different Theme, like "Crossovers" or "Cute Moments with Babies/Animals" or "Incredibly weird songs which JC sings on"... whatever you like, including the Classics. Any volunteers?

WEDDING DAY! What a fun idea! I wouldn't mind being a cheesy wedding dj, that sounds fun! Except if anyone else REALLY wants to do it. OR WE COULD BE A DJ TEAM!!!! :D

Footage-wise, I could probably make a random collection of short funny nsync clips, hopefully including something not everyone has seen a billion times?

The problem with recent footage is that these days people mostly stream rather than download stuff, so I don't have a collection to pick from!

I feel like I've see On The Line and some of Justin's movies quite a few times. Maybe clips of Joey on DWTS or Justin on SNL instead? Or similar.

A collection of short, funny Nsync clips sounds like an excellent thing to have.

We could play some of Joey's dances versus Lance's and vote on who did it best — there haven't been any BSBs on DWTS, have there? I can't help feeling that since Backstreet have been providing us with fresh material, we may be rather low on the Nsync stuff.

Hmm. I believe this October will be the 20th anniversary of Nsync becoming a group? So perhaps there will be some fresh footage towards the end of the year which we'll be able to grab for next year's Camp.

This all sounds pretty awesome. I think House of carters and Harry & Max are a bit of a must at this point. New Nick reality is also perfect, and I have this if no one else does. The BSB doc is also a must.

I would love to do some more recent BSB concerts, perhaps NKOTBSB (to remember the good times we had while going during Camp), one of the other recent tours. Howies solo from Homecoming can probably be placed at random intervals, along with Nick's parts of QPG. Just to keep us on our toes :p

I have it on my list of Things To Do Today to ask you if you managed to record a nice pretty copy! (I couldn't bear the suspense and acquired it online, but the sound goes very badly out of synch). So, Yes Please, to transferring it. Er, what's the best way to do that? I have a DropBox, though I don't really know how it works...

fadedsouls has the Nick Carter stuff, and withdiamonds the Lance stuff (although should there be a problem with either I will definitely get back to you). But if you could do the AJ collection via Dropbox, and tell me how to retrieve it? I had it for a couple of occasions for the theatre company and never really used it after that, but it exists...

I have a WIFI webcam lying around somewhere that I can bring for the purposes of Skyping with absent Campers. Maybe we could even set up a password-protected Camp live feed :-)

p.s. If the BSB movie DVD isn't out by June, do you have a non-DRM copy of it that we could show at Camp?

I'm so sorry, work and life have completely eaten up all of my time in the past couple of months, but I will do my best to do the lyrics quiz and at list of AJ videos. The latter may only consist of a list plus timestamps of which bits to play, but dammit I'll get it out!

So I finally found my old BSB stuff, and I have things up to 2010. Should also have some concerts from after that saved somewhere, or they may have been lost in the horrible computer meltdown of 2012.

(Also found old fan fiction that I am pretty sure is no longer online. Score! Now I can read the horrible but no one else can :p )

In conclusion, I'll get an external that does not require an external power source and bring everything I have. Including what will hopefully be folders with stuff for dancing, viewing, traumatizing innocent Camp-goes and so on. Most of it stuff other people have, but you never know.

Also have the BSB doc, Nick's reality show stuff, and Lance's wedding special for good measure. And will see about getting Nick & Jordan stuff as well, cause I need a good excuse to spend and entire day on YouTube.
