A little investigation into the matter of beverages.
Firstly, alcoholic drinks will not be provided as part of the package. It's too complicated and too expensive. That doesn't mean Camp Sparkle is to be alcohol-free, no indeed, but if you think you'll want wine, beer, spirits or whatever, bring your own, and decide for yourself if you wish to share. Those of you flying in, or travelling by train, may want to make Arrangements with someone else to transport the necessary - I'm sure that can be sorted out privately.
(I shall probably bring a demijohn of white wine, which was given to me by my Pa some time ago, but there are no guarantees offered as to whether or not it is an agreeable drink. I have not broached it at all.)
What we will provide are hot drinks and soft drinks. So here are a couple of polls, to enable the shopping (I hope).
[Poll #929007]
* Tea = * proper English tea of the variety known ascommon or garden 'breakfast' or thereabouts.
Please note: I'm definitely not promising all these options will be available! Most likely, there'll be a choice of three or four soft drinks, but if there's a strong vote in favour of, say, Diet Cherry Coke, I'll do my best to get some, and if nobody wants 7-up/Sprite, I won't bother to buy it.

Date: 2007-02-17 07:35 am (UTC)Seriously, it's the only thing I drink with ANY regularity. Imagine your country without tea. That's how I am without Diet Coke. I will literally walk my half-crippled @$$ however far it has to walk to buy Diet Coke and carry it back with me if there's none available. So, this is me, begging that there be some available. If everybody else votes against it, I'll pay you for it when I'm in London. (and thusly keep it to myself, mwahaha. Except no, I would share with my fellow Diet Coke lovers, for we must stick together.)
And seriously, y'all, you don't want to see how pissy the American can get if he has to limp for his soda. ;)

Date: 2007-02-17 02:43 pm (UTC)I'm not too keen on standard breakfast tea, probably because I drink it plain without either milk or sugar, so I'll try to remember and bring along a couple of looseleaf tea blends, probably a plain Earl Grey for breakfast purposes and some flavoured blend for the rest of the time.
