Unfortunately we cannot get a group session - these are only on Saturdays, and I rang up to book but found that the 20th is already full.

They can accommodate up to four people per session during the week, with slots at 11.15am and 2.15pm, so I suggest anyone who wants to do a bauble session lets me know how many of you there are and if you have a day/time preference, and I'll phone and do my best to book for you. At the moment there is plenty of availability.

I'm going to suggest that we do [personal profile] chalcopyrite's tour on Sunday, finishing at No 1 Royal Crescent. [personal profile] chalcopyrite, can you check what sort of timings that will involve? The museum closes at 5pm so if we want to break the tour with tea somewhere, we will have to be sure to get to No 1 before 4pm. (We could always pause for lunch instead - probably depends how long the walk will be.)

There is a slightly reduced group rate, so if 10+ of us go it will be a little cheaper.

***

I don't think we need to plan many events, as we can team up as we see fit once we are at Camp.
I would quite like to visit Stourhead on the Wednesday, and there will be room for three or four in the car (depending on Beast), but if there is lots of demand we'll sort out an extra car.

I would like to do glass blowing! Any day before Friday works for me since I don't have any official plans, except for whenever afternoon tea is.

I might not do the architecture walking tour, but I can meet you guys at No 1 Royal Crescent for lunch or tea.

There are no tea rooms at RC #1 - it's just the museum.
I think we should maybe do lunch plus walking tour plus the museum and leave afternoon tea for another day - esp since I'm not sure that 1 hour will be enough for the museum. Has anyone been before? How much is there to see?

I agree that perhaps tea should be on another day/time :)

Thanks for checking that, Saba — I was sure I’d seen something about tea but obviously got mixed up! They recommend at least an hour for the museum, so I’ll try and make sure we have more than that so we’re not rushed!

They do offer a group tour with an introductory talk with tea and coffee - but I'm pretty sure that's only drinks, not a cream tea or anything.

And yay for giving us enough time!! :)

I'd like to do the glass blowing, and since the bauble has to cool down completely before one can collect it, it might be better early in the week.

I also want to do the architecture tour, and would also want to visit No 1 Royal Crescent!

I'd also be interested in visiting Stourhead. :)

Not sure if I'll do the whole tour but will at least join everyone at No 1 Royal Crescent!

I'd really love to go to Stourhead. Perhaps there could be a poll about that so we could see if an extra car is necessary?

Should we set a day aside for spa-ing, as well?

Definitely, in case people want to book treatments!

I'm not sure how many people want to spa - if it's only a few, we could simply choose one of the 'free' days!

As for spa-ing: so far it looks like Saturday, Tuesday or Thursday are the most likely to work - but I just saw, that Jenny leaves on Thursday, so make that Saturday or Tuesday. Maybe Tuesday morning?

Makes perfect sense!
Best I'll make a extra post about that, I think?

I’ll pull my socks up and plan route/ timing for that, and include break stops.

I’d also like to do glass blowing. No time constraints apart from leaving Thursday rather than Friday.

This small recreated Georgian garden could maybe be an interesting short stop on our walking tour? It's located behind No.4 The Circus.
