How much will it cost, part 2
Oct. 29th, 2006 09:16 amTypical - the minute I make a post in here, I get new information which...
Okay. I've now had confirmation of the cottage rent, which is up a whopping 40% since last year. We'd factored in a rise along the same pattern as the 2005 price progress, but...
Never mind. What it means is that our 15 Camp Sparkle participants are looking at £75 each rather than £65. And again, if we get more than 15, the price goes down. And it's still a fantastic bargain for a place which looks so nice! (Did you notice, *bathrobes* included? Hee!)
I've also received a floor plan of the place, from which it is clear that all the bedrooms have double beds. Several of them also have at least one single. So, guys - you can start thinking about who you want to room with, and whether or not you're happy to share a bed. Also, there are a couple of bedrooms on the ground floor, so if anyone needs/prefers to avoid stairs, let us know when you sign up.
Just to remind you, the cottage is here, do take a look if you haven't already done so!
Registration opening soon!

Date: 2006-10-29 12:07 pm (UTC)Also, about rooming, could you put up the floor plan or list the number of beds in a room? Or is this too early and should I instead be worrying about something else? (I don't even want to think about the cost yet. I'll just save 5 quid every week until then or something...)

Date: 2006-10-29 02:39 pm (UTC)I'm already sharing with Becca but some of the rooms look like they have a double bed and a single so, if we can work it out with everyone else of course, you're more than welcome to room with us :)

Date: 2006-10-29 06:19 pm (UTC)I'll put up the floor plans in a day or two, so you can all have a look - but I think I'd better reserve the right to assign rooms according to
whimsome criteria or other which I'll work out in reasonable time. (More on that in weeks to come, she added cryptically.) Early sign-up will be among the criteria, of course! However, it'll be handy to know who can pair up and who can threesome up, as it were...no subject

Date: 2006-10-29 01:32 pm (UTC)£75 for a weekend really isn't that terrible. If we were going to a hotel it'd be a lot more. You guys are awesome for putting this all together. If you need a hand with anything, just yell.
I'm looking at trains but I'll more than likely drive over (4 1/2 hours on a train with three changes or three hours in my car?) if anyone from Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire area wants a ride.
Whee! Is it March yet?

Date: 2006-10-29 03:30 pm (UTC)The thing we'll most likely need help with is pickups from stations and airports, so if you're planning to bring a car then that would be great. Nearer the time we'll try and get arrivals and so on coordinated efficiently.
