Vidding tutorials?

Good evening, lovely ladies and gents! :D

A little while ago there was some talk of me possibly doing a little presentation on vidding at Camp Sparkle. There was interest, but I just wanted to make sure if that's still a goer? I'll bring my laptop and external then, and hopefully we'll have a projector like last year than it can be hooked up to?

Secondly, what kind of presentation would you be interested in? Do you want me to show you the workspace of an existing vid and explain what I did, or build up a short vid while we're talking so you can see what I'm doing? Do you want a PowerPoint presentation? Just fyi, I'm not an expert on vidding by any means - I mostly learn by doing, but I've picked up some tricks along the way. And speaking to large crowds makes me a fumbling mess. Bear with me, please!

Also, if we're going through with this presentation, I think it would be awesome to have viewings of people's favorite vids! I know there are amazing N'Sync vids out there, and I already have a small collection of old BSB vids as well as my own stuff. If you leave me links (for download or viewing) in the comments I can collect them all up on my harddrive and bring them along.


(Also, since I leave early, it would have to be sometime during the weekend. I don't know how that fits into the schedule?)

I would personally love it if I could see exactly how something comes together, so I would vote for the building up a short vid! But whatever you're most comfortable with. :)

I'd love to see something about creating a vid, though I know so little about it I don't even know what to ask for! But yes, please. We'll schedule you on Saturday.

i am definitly still up for this vidding tutorial. i have attempted vids a couple times but given up so quickly (usually around the 1min 10 mark) so i would be interested in you showing a vid and then saying what you did. i hope there'll be time for a q&a session :D

I know nothing about vidding, so I don't know what to ask for either! Building up a short vid sounds really interesting, if you are up for it.

I've begun fiddling with vidding in another fandom entirely, but I'm betting ANY information could be useful on at least one or two levels (if not more), so I would very VERY much be interested in seeing whatever you'd like to share!

And we're all friends and fellow Campers here, so hopefully Public Speaking isn't too much of an issue? Be that as it may, I personally have zero nerves about public speaking/presentation, so I'd...be happy to help however I could? Which is probably not at all, but, y'know, I can just yell out whatever you're trying to say if you get tongue-tied, or something. *g*

I know nothing about vidding, so it would be very cool to see you create a vid, even though it would probably have to be super short! :)

As for nsync vids, Dacey has four and wistful_fever, uh, several. I can probably bring those on a memory stick or something, if necessary. :)

I've only ever made one myself, and that was years ago, so I would love to see how you do it!!! It's gonna be totally awesome. :)
