A Time, A Place

Right, folks!
nopseud and I have done much scouring of the internet, and have in fact found a place that looks perfect for this year's Camp Sparkle. SThe one possible disadvantage is that it's in the same general area as last year's Camp Sparkle—on the other hand, it's a very convenient area, whether you're, say, driving a minibus or getting a train or plane, and there's still *plenty* that we haven't explored around there. Oh, and it has a hot tub. Best of all, if there are twenty of us it will work out at just £61 per head - an incredible bargain compared to everything else we have found.
So nice is the place, indeed, that it is mostly booked already. I've just spoken to the owner and put in a provisional booking for the week of 7th-14th May, so what we need to do now is figure out if that week will work for Camp Sparkle, so that I can either confirm and pay up the booking deposit, or book for a week in, let us say, mid-September instead.
So what we need to know is - can you make it for May 7th, or shall we make it September (same rate as May, or possibly cheaper) instead?
[Poll #1513573]
Please comment with whatever extra information there may be - eg you can only make it for the weekend in May but could manage a week in September, or, you can't possibly do September so May is your only option—whatever.

Date: 2010-01-19 10:47 am (UTC)It sounds awesome though, and May is definitely better than September for me.
ETA: All clear, I'll be there! Would much prefer May to September.

Date: 2010-01-19 11:53 am (UTC)Though if they didn't make any sound I AM SO FUCKING THERE.
Nearest airport is East Midlands? Grah. I'll just take a flight to Manchester and then navigate via the trains from there. Or something. I can fly into Heathrow as well but probably not East Midlands Airport.
September is okay with me for the moment. :)
ETA: Just checked, it's about a 2 hour journey via train from Manchester Airport, with 2 transfers (one will probably be at Manchester Picadilly)

Date: 2010-01-19 12:07 pm (UTC)I see no difference for me whether it will be May or September. I would manage both dates.

*spins deliriously*
Of course I prefer May over September because IT'S SOONER, but there's not really much difference to me. May is the busy season at work, so the sooner we have a confirmed set of dates, the sooner I can put in my vacation request (earlier request=more likely to be granted.) But it was about the same time last year and I got the time off no problem, so it shouldn't be any issue whatsoever.
EEEEEEE, CAN'T WAIT!!!
*g*

Date: 2010-01-19 09:57 pm (UTC)(I don't have a firm calendar for Sept yet, but historically September tends to be full of students, but students who have *arrived* so I can have the weekend off, so, in conclusion, I can only do a part of the week either way, and whatever works for everyone else is cool, and OMG CAMP SPARKLE YAY!)

Date: 2010-01-20 11:04 am (UTC)Multimap tells me it's only an hour and ten minutes away, which makes visiting so much easier! Unless you all fancy a day-trip to Lincoln to see the pretty cathedral and teeny tiny castle? ;) And me, of course!
