Jan. 21st, 2014 09:26 pmHi ladies and gents!
Just a quick note from me - I recently found out that I'm going in for the third (and hopefully final) heart surgery this year. Next month, actually! They're replacing my heart valve and part of my aorta, which I always knew was coming, but it's quite huge and scary, I'm not gonna lie. :D:
This is just to say that I hope I'll see you all this year, but I can barely manage what's happening tomorrow, nevermind months from now. My whole year is basically up in the air right now until that surgery's over and done with, which isn't exactly convenient for Camp planning time. :/
Much love to all you gorgeous people! <3

Date: 2014-02-23 11:29 am (UTC)It depends on which airport you can fly into. There's a train station not very far from the house, with a surprisingly good service, but it is a bit of a drag if you have to come up from the south.
I'll be thinking about you next week. Please let us know how things went when you feel up to it.

Date: 2014-02-20 08:35 am (UTC)Mette, I hope everything went super-well with your surgery, and that you're recovering impressively and happily! Heart surgery is just about as major as it gets, so having some shaky nerves about it is most certainly understandable...my surgeries are just on joints, even if replacing a hip is fairly invasive, heh. I hope your recovery goes even HALF as good as mine did, because that would put you way ahead of the curve! And if you can do even better than that, more power to you!
I hope it all works out that you can make it to Camp this year, for all the in-person hugs you couldn't get now...and I hope I make it to be able to give one of them!

Date: 2014-02-20 07:10 pm (UTC)My surgery's not till next week, but thank you so much for all the well wishes! I'm confident it'll all turn out all right, even if it'll be a new life afterwards, with life-long medication and things of that nature to get used to. Any surgery is scary, and I'm so happy to hear you're still in good recovery!
That would be absolutely great! Fingers crossed it'll happen at some point!
