Ooh! I don't know if this is even something you can get near you, but I would love some stone ground grits, please. If possible, hominy grits like these ones. Non-hominy stone ground grits would be fine, though, like the Ansom Mills ones.

Heh. I bought some to try for research purposes for the Town of Tiny Vampires, and with appropriate (i.e very large) amounts of butter and black pepper added, I actually quite like them! The only kind I can get here, though, are outrageously priced Quaker ones from American grocery websites. And even the ones that aren't called instant take a lot less time to cook than recipes for 'real' grits suggest they should.

As for how many, I guess it depends on what the shelf life is. If it's a good few months then maybe a couple of bags?
