Camp Sparkle Transport Post

Hi folks!

It'd be really handy for the sake of my nerves scheduling, to know how you'll be getting to Camp. For those who'll be wanting my transport services as usual, can you please comment with arrival and departure times for your flights (and of course details of which airport you'll be arriving at) - even if you've told me already, put the details here so I have everything in one place.

If you're coming in to Birmingham or East Midlands, it'll be useful to have that information here as well; and, if you're planning on driving yourself or coming by train, please comment with those details too! (It'd be handy, probably, if one or two other people are coming by car—definitely useful to know.)

You're departing Heathrow via Terminal 3...do you arrive there as well? I do, so if you're also going to, I may as well camp out and let Jenny come to us. Makes no sense to drag all my luggage to Terminal 1, then drag it back to Terminal 3. And Jenny has offered to poke me with a stick if I fall asleep waiting, so that's fine. ;p

I'm flying in to Heathrow on Thursday the 6th, on American Airlines Flight 98, scheduled to land at 11:25am. My return flight departs from Heathrow at 16:45 on Friday the 14th. I both get in and leave before JM, but there will be plenty of things to buy look at to keep me occupied if needed, and I'll be bringing ridonkulous amounts of stuff I can keep myself busy with anyway. *g*

I just booked a flight. I'll arrive Thursday evening and will stay the night with nopeseud, so no pick-up service needed. I can, however, not stay for the whole week, therefore I will already leave again on Sunday afternoon (departure is 6:20pm). I'm planning to go by train, however it'd be nice if someone could drive me to a train station that is not Alfreton, since trains from Alfreton seem to go north only (or mostly) which would be a big detour.

I have no idea when I'll be arriving, yet. :D I'm leaning towards flying into Paris on Monday, taking the train to London on Thursday and making my way to Pen's, maybe? I'll be staying in London for several days after Camp (I hope, and I'm thinking about whining my way into staying at someone's house at Copenhagen for a few days before having to go back home...). But I'll let you know as soon as I have plans made - there's a possibility me and my guy would be doing London together, but we haven't had time to sit down and discuss the timing or anything yet.

Pen, would you be able to have me stay over on the 6th? I'm most likely to be arriving on Thursday by train from Paris and could make my way to your house for the night, so I'd be already there on the 7th and there would be no pick up from airport required. :)

Oh, excellent!

I get in, two hours later there's a Jenny, and two and a half after that, we've got JM. Five hours at the airport isn't too bad, and as long as I can force myself to stay awake through the first two hours, then I'll have company!

What terminal does your flight come in to? I'm sure mine is #3, American flights always are.
