Camp Sparkle Transport Post

Hi folks!

It'd be really handy for the sake of my nerves scheduling, to know how you'll be getting to Camp. For those who'll be wanting my transport services as usual, can you please comment with arrival and departure times for your flights (and of course details of which airport you'll be arriving at) - even if you've told me already, put the details here so I have everything in one place.

If you're coming in to Birmingham or East Midlands, it'll be useful to have that information here as well; and, if you're planning on driving yourself or coming by train, please comment with those details too! (It'd be handy, probably, if one or two other people are coming by car—definitely useful to know.)

When you were away picking up people from the airport and we were packing the van, your neighbours must have thought crazy foregners were robbing your house...

There'll be rather less minibus tetris this time as I have employed the services of a baggage mule, namely, Beast, who is going to put stuff in the car and take it north, because he is a noble Beast. It was a bit of a squeeze last time!

It has been confirmed, I'll be getting to St. Pancras on the 6th of May at 2.31pm! From what I gathered, it takes about 20 from there to St. Albans, so I would be there, say, three thirty-ish? seeing I'll possibly get lost at some point along the way. :)

Excellent. As long as you can negotiate the *vastness* that is St Pancras, everything else is easy! When you come out of the international bit, you just have to go in the opposite direction to the Underground, and eventually you'll find some ticket booths and the trains to Bedford (which all stop at St Albans). I'll probably bring a posse to greet you!

I just noticed that I arrive in London *an hour* before JM lands at Heathrow... I think we might have to think and weigh in all the options. But that's just details. :) Now if I could only decide when to leave the country. ;)

Aha! A bit of figuring out to do. It may be that you'll have to be Extra Intrepid and get the bus - in which case I shall dispatch the posse to the bus stop at the end of my road to intercept you. But we'll see - it may depend when Josh arrives when I go off to Heathrow.

I arrive at Heathrow six hours before JM's flight comes in, so unless Jenny or someone is also coming in to Heathrow, I may end up building a ninja-nest on a bench somewhere and passing out for a few hours, oops.

My geographical knowledge only covers your country on a vague national level...where the heck is Heathrow in relation to London Proper (northwest-ish? or is that Stansted?), and where is St. Pancras?

...I could also easily take the tube from St. Pancras to Heathrow and gather up Josh, Jenny and JM (with the Js, good lord, I could just as well call you Justin, JC and Joey), but I'm pretty sure Pen would cry, trying to fit us all AND our luggage in one car, so. :D
