*waves* (Again.)
Apr. 23rd, 2011 03:32 amHey, Gang.
This is a question for those of you who attended the first Camp Sparkle, in Ludlow.
I'm still trying to recreate the look of the cottage for Sparkly CRACK's gameboard. Several generous people either sent or re-posted their pics for me, and I massively appreciate that, but unfortunately, there was only one picture of one bedroom in the entire lot!
So, I ask those of you who attended:
What did the walls & floor of the bedroom you stayed in look like (color, pattern, whatever)?
Which bedroom was it? (If you happen to remember the room #, that's awesome, but I can figure it out from "at the top of the stairs from the lounge" or whatever.)
And any other specific details you can remember would help too, like "had a fireplace between the two beds" or anything of the sort would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks So Much for any help anyone can provide!
(And oh yeah, one other question: Where the HELL was that mini-foosball table? Near the laundry? I failed to put it on my map...)
See Y'all in a few weeks!!!

Date: 2011-04-25 04:33 am (UTC)There IS a picture of that room, with the blue bedsheets, white walls, and strange pale-brown carpet, Huzzah!
That was the room at the top of the stairs, that had a second door leading into the tiny "bedroom" with the sofa-bed, right? Was that the room with the two little steps down into & back up out of it, with the "Mind Your Head" signs?
(Man, the architecture in that cottage was crazy. It was begging for a wacky game to be made from it, really.)

I think so. I'm pretty sure I remember steps down into it.

Thanks!

Looking at that picture, there was another bedroom to our left. I don't remember many details, but we did have a shower cubicle right in the middle of the room, and the glass walls weren't even frosted! The hell? But being Finns we weren't too traumatized. :D

Thanks!
(And looking forward to seeing you; you were missed last year!)

(I'm really looking forward to seeing you all!)

Date: 2011-04-25 04:44 am (UTC)And What I Am Up To is re-creating the Sparkly CRACK game, upgrading the cards and re-doing the board at a semi-professional level, so it can come live with you and the rest of the Camp Sparkle paraphenalia. You mentioned leaving it last year so it wouldn't occupy so much space in my luggage, but it wasn't really ready at that point. Now it shall be!
And I'll include Detailed Rules complete with examples, so it can be played at the smaller Sparkly Gatherings that occur, without my being present. (If anyone should be interested in such a thing. Perhaps a Lava Lamp reading is sufficient CRAAAACK for a lesser congregation than Camp, heh.)

I think there was lots of hardwood floors, going with all the freestanding timbers, heh.
